Dr. Fallah determines what you want to correct. Using the 3-D computer technology in his San Diego office, Dr. Fallah generates a complete treatment plan for you, depicting the initial position of your teeth to the final desired position. He will show you your own virtual treatment plan before you start, so you will see how your straight teeth will look when your Invisalign treatment is finished.

Then Dr. Fallah sends precise treatment instructions to the Invisalign Company, where his instructions are translated into a sequence of finely calibrated aligners. There can be as few as 12 or as many as 48 aligners.

Once Dr. Fallah receives your aligners, you wear your first one for about two weeks, taking the easily removed aligner out for eating, brushing and flossing. Over time, as you replace each aligner approximately every two weeks with the next, your teeth will move gradually, until they move into the final alignment that Dr. Fallah prescribed.

You will have regular appointments with Dr. Fallah, approximately once every six weeks, to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned. During your Invisalign treatment, you can usually eat whatever you desire because you remove your aligners to eat and drink.
